Monday Luv

Source: my-mania.eu via Connie on Pinterest
Hello all!

How are you all?! I am doing alright here at Casa de Krebs. We had a pretty good Father's Day, relaxed, biked, made some yummy french toast for the man of the day. Here are some things that I have found on the web that you all might like:

Can't wait to make some of these... I need some more vases around here!

We love taking photos around here, but I always appreciate some tips for getting even better shots.
And once I get better shots I plan on doing this with them....------->

I haven't used the button-hole feature yet on my sewing machine yet, this may push me there!

Want a challenge? How about visiting a Park a day?

My favorite kids clothing place, Tea., is having it's annual sale!! Go here to snag some great deals!

I would love to learn how to do a waterfall braid... just like this one

Finally, I have always enjoyed classical music but this group is by far my new favorite love! How I have not heard of them before is beyond me!!!

Today I am....

:loving: this sweet tutorial on how to make an easy summer dress for my girls, plus a matching headband!

 about creating a floor bed for Miss Moira this weekend... girlfriend HATES her crib and got stuck one too many times for this Mama to care for!

:craving: some warm sunshine, like what we felt last week in Atlanta.

:making: a recycled t-shirt rug with Gabby, using a hula hoop for the loom!

:wanting: this photo,  this journal, this purse, and  these hair pins from Etsy

:singing: this song from Glee, it just makes me smile

:needing: to feel some more sunshine on my face... I was spoiled in Atlanta by all the sun, warmth, and blooms!

:drawing: in this book that we bought for the family. It really makes you think... I mean what do you draw for "girlish laughter"?

:sewing: more of these pretty yet useful necklaces for the craft show in June. They are really teething necklaces that hide unfinished wooden beads, perfect for sore little gums!

Lilith Fair is Back!

Oh my, oh my, oh my! Lilith Fair is back in all her feminine glory and I am sooooo excited! Big names like Kelly Clarkson, Colbie Caillat, Nora Jones, many more, and of course Sarah McLachlan. I remember getting the CD from one of these wonderful concerts back in the 90's and falling asleep to it at night... ahh the memories from high school!

I think I am even more excited because the artists more often than not are belting out their tried and true hits, the ones that everyone knows the words to and will gladly sing along to. Not to mention that with the lineup here, you can bring your mom, sister, kids, whoever and know that it is a empowering and friendly event.

Is Lilith Fair coming to a city near you?

What if Snow White DIDN'T Live Happily Ever After?

Cinderella's on her bedroom floor
She's got a
Crush on the guy at the liquor store
Cause Mr. Charming don't come home anymore
And she forgets why she came here
Sleeping Beauty's in a foul mood
For shame she says
None for you dear prince, I'm tired today
I'd rather sleep my whole life away than have you keep me from dreaming

Snow White is doing dishes again cause
What else can you do
With seven itty-bitty men?
Sends them to bed and calls up a friend
Says will you meet me at midnight?
The tall blonde lets out a cry of despair says
Would have cut it myself if I knew men could climb hair
I'll have to find another tower somewhere and keep away from the windows

But the story needs some mending and a better happy ending
Cause I don't want the next best thing
No no I don't want the next best thing

Lullabies

I love listening to all different kinds of music, from classical to country, latin to rock. Our music collection is huge and would take over a week of straight playing to get through all of the songs on the computer. Gabby has also developed this love and thanks to Klint will listen to parodies about the World of Warcraft, hard rock, and of course- pirate songs. Well I made a new bedtime CD for her and thought that I would share it since it is so eclectic... my favorite addition are the songs from Sandra Boynton's books.... she is awesome!!

Here are some of the songs that are on the new CD titled Pajama Time:

1. Pajama Time- Sandra Boynton- Philidelphia Chickens

2. Though Shadows Dark- Pamela Ballingham- Treasury Of Earth Mother Lullabies

3. When She Loved Me- Toy Story 2- Disney's Greatest Hits Vol. 3

4. Winter's Come & Gone- Elizabeth Mitchell- You Are My Little Bird

5. Kite Song- Patty Griffin- Impossible Dream

6. A Dormir- Latin Lullaby

7. Thula Mtwana-Ladysmith Black Mambazo- African Lullaby

8. Side by Side- Dan Zanes- Night Time!

Well there are tons more, but these are my favorites... we always add some Disney, a little Dave Matthews, and some classical as well to make it really nice and soothing, but I wanted to share some new finds from our music collection. Enjoy and sweet dreams!
