Get Lucky Giveaway #4

Featured Seller #4- StayAwake

StayAwake is run by Lindy, a wonderfully creative sewer whose felt finger puppets have captured my heart from the start!
This is why Stayawake puppets rock my world as well as my girls' world:
- Each puppet made from my original whimsical designs
- Hand-stitched using no glue
- Made from wool-blend felt which is a mixture of wool and wood fibre, and far more earth-friendly and durable than synthetic felt, or ecofi felt (which are plastic products)
- people puppets are available in any skin tone!
- puppets are made to order - I can customize any set just for you!
I love the variety of all these finger puppets, everything from dragons to mermaids, bunnies to moose! And of course, no commercial characters, just lots of inspiration and imagination. I have had a really hard time choosing a set for my girls since they both would love anything from here. And isn't that an awesome problem to have?

Looking around at the store you tell that time, thought, and patience was put into each puppet. Lindy told me that some of those tiny finger puppets can take up to an hour to make! I also love that she is always coming up with something new, like the buggy set. I can't wait to see what is new in the shop next!

Aside from her Etsy store, Lindy also has a Facebook Fan Page- if you decide to become a fan and comment about it here you will get another entry into this very generous giveaway!!! And here is what you are waiting for:

Today, StayAwake is giving away the choice of ANY THREE PUPPETS from her store! Isn't that AWESOME?! So you can get something for everyone if you have more than one child, or just choose a variety for your little one to play with. They are perfect for car rides, carrying in pockets, and just telling that perfect story! What will you choose?

(* Please note that the current make time for this shop due to high demand is 2 weeks)

Get Lucky Giveaway #3

Featured Seller #3- SnuggyBaby

SnuggyBaby is an awesome baby-wearing store created by Jo, a mom who not only runs a very successful Etsy shop but also her own website with all the things a mom needs for their baby!

Her Etsy profile says this:
Welcome to Snuggy Baby.

Every baby needs a sling and every mom deserves one. I tell everyone who is looking for a shower gift that every new mom needs a sling, a boppy, and a crockpot, and if they have a sling, they can get by without a boppy. Unfortunatly in my city, slings,(especially the adjustable ring slings) are impossible to buy.

I wanted every baby to have the benefit and every mom to have the convienienve of a sling. I also wanted to make it easier for moms to find slings that they would love as a fashion accessory as much as for the benefits to their babies and Snuggy Baby was born.

Thank you for looking at my store. I hope you find something that you love.
I discovered this wonderful Etsian when I was looking around Etsy with AJ on my lap. AJ was carrying around a baby of hers in a make shift sling and I really wanted to find someone on Etsy who made ones that didn't require me to tie complex knots. Hence I found SnuggyBaby and her lovely, well made doll slings! (AJ of course got one with monkey fabric on it, her favorite accessory by far!)

Looking around at Jo's Etsy store you only get a taste of her talent. For a true look head on over to her other store- www.snuggybaby.com! When I first clicked on this store I was so impressed with how easy it was to navigate around, how crisp the photos were, and the variety. There are not only the doll slings, but also wraps (my personal baby wearing favorite!), ring slings, and wet bags. The fabric variety is astounding, and I can vouch for the craftsmanship of the pieces.

There is so many nice things I can say about this store and this seller. If you are a baby wearing mama, or have a little girl who wants to wear her dollies like mama, this is the Giveaway for you!

The lucky winner of this awesome giveaway is going to win a $20 gift certificate which can be used for ANY product at www.snuggybaby.com! AND, if you become a follower on Facebook here, you will get yourself yet another entry into the giveaway!!

Get Lucky Giveaway #2

Featured Seller #2- Works of Whimsy

Works of Whimsy is owned by Linda, a fun and friendly Etsian who shares my love of felt and kids!
Her profile says this:
The bolder, the brighter, the better!

After I had my kids, I was inspired to create, because I couldn't find the whimsical, colorful stuff I longed for in stores. At first, all my creations were kept in the family. After I saw how my kids' friends reacted to my creations, however, I began to make items to give as birthday gifts. Parents started telling me how much their kids loved the gifts, and how they won't go to a sleep-over or on trip without taking them along.

People have been suggesting that I sell my creations for a while. With the enthusiastic encouragement of my family--and the discovery of Etsy--I decided to give it a try.
I discovered this awesome shop when I saw her cute little mice featured on the front page one day in February.  I knew that my girls would love some cute love bunnies for Valentine's Day and bought a pair of them, but little did I know that these bunnies would be such a hit! Gabby and AJ take them everywhere, play catch with them, and love toting them around on adventures.
You can see from all the colors that Linda knows what kids like and need for playtime, and even from just looking at the photos you can tell that a lot of time and love were put into making these pretend pals. I think that the little wedding mice are my favorites of all!

Today, Works of Whimsy is giving away the pretty blue and pink set of bunnies seen left!  She told me that she made this duo specifically for this giveaway and I am so excited because any child will love them and they would make a cute addition to an Easter basket for sure.  Don't forget to check out Linda's sold items if you like these to see what else she has made in the past.... her imagination and attention to detail is wonderful!

Get Lucky Giveaway #1

Featured Seller #1- Social Butterflies

Social Butterflies is run by Brandy, a sassy designer who has lovelies for both your hair and your neck!
Her profile says this:
"I am a camera carrying mom, designer, crafter, shopaholic, hostess with the mostess and fashionista! I love planning parties, bright colors and all things sparkly! I'm out to make my world a little bit more fabulous - one project at a time. Thanks for visiting Social Butterflies!"
I purchased a Wish Bracelet from Brandy and fell in love with it for it's simplicity and meaning. Not only was the quality of the cotton superb, but the charm that she picked for me was exactly what I was looking for! I love the idea of a wish necklace or bracelet as well. You simply put it on, make a wish, and wait for the string to wear out. When the necklace or bracelet falls off, your wish will come true! Fabulous huh?

Looking around at the rest of the store you can see that a lot of thought and effort was put into all of the items. Brandy chose her colors with care and is also super friendly to converse with, a feature that goes far on Etsy.

Aside from her Etsy store, Brandy also has a lovely blog- The Moody Fashionista. I love how the colors are soft yet make a statement, as well as the great tutorial links. Please check out the blog as well, it is so worth your time, and if you become a follower of her awesome blog you will get an extra entry

Today, Social Butterflies is giving away the choice of one Wish Necklace from her store! Choose your wish, pick a color to match your personality, and you are set to go! No matter which one you choose, you will not be disappointed! And, don't worry if you don't win, her entire shop is currently buy 3, get the 4th item free!

The List 3.14.10

Is everyone excited and telling friends about the upcoming week of Giveaways?? I am and hope that you all enjoy the Featured shops just as much as I do! Here are some things that I have found in the world that I would love to share with you all, enjoy and please come back tomorrow and enter in each of the 5 Giveaways!

Want to understand your child better? For me, this traditional look at the 2 yr old was really accurate and quite illuminating. The hubby asked if there was a camera in here because the definition of a 2 and a half yr old was dead on!

I am so excited to bring some of these no-bake Oreo balls to Gabby's class for St. Patrick's Day. The ingredient list is short and most importantly, no baking required!

While I am waiting for the weather to become nicer, it might be fun with the kids to make this Indoor Cat Fairy Garden, where it is ok if the felines eat the grass. I know at least one of my guys would like this idea!

Ever since I saw this Burlap Wreath I can't get it out of my head! I am putting colors together, thinking about how to "Connie-fy" it, and wondering if I can get the project done in one nap time. Pictures to come for sure!

And another project for me to do while I am waiting for those pesky flowers to bloom is make my own Pom Pom Flowers. Thanks to this awesome tutorial by Domestifluff, they are super easy and soooo pretty with presents! Plus, go here and download some FREE matching stationary to go with your pretty little Pom Pom Flowers!

I am a huge fan of Jello desserts since they most people aren't allergic to Jello. This cute Jello Pot O'Gold would be another great choice for a class snack with kids who can't have certain foods!

I just discovered an awesome perfume shop and then heard of a think called a Scent Locket. While I love the idea I can't justify spending $70 on one. Etsy once again saves the day with this shop called BirdzNBeez. I am seriously wanting this pretty Bunny Scent Locket by them!

And I just had to share this photo with you, simply because it makes me smile!

Nothing like a little girl and her dog looking out a window together!
See you tomorrow bright and early!!

Spring Has Sprung... (maybe....)

This past week us Clevelanders have enjoyed sunny skies, warm breezes, and teasing hints from Mother Nature that Spring is indeed on it's way. Everyone emerged from hibernation, smiles were on faces, and all in all it was a great week. After months and months of cold snowy weather, it is so nice to see people out walking and enjoying the day.

One of my projects this Spring is to plant a fairy garden with the kids. We are going to make a pretty little fenced in area, fill it with mini shade plants, and hope that the wee ones feel welcome.  I have been looking all over for directions, photos, and other inspirations for this garden since I want it to be child friendly and fun. I don't know if I want it to be in a container yet or just in an area with the rest of the plants...

I love this garden though in a barrel from The Magic Onions.  She has such lovely details and you can see that the kids were really involved with the design.

I also want to add a butterfly house to our garden, either in the front or back, from this wonderful Etsy store- Bee Gracious. This pink butterfly house really caught my eye!

I have found tons of great fairy garden miniatures from Etsy of course and if you google Fairy Garden there are lots of sites that have everything from little fences to plants perfect for fairy catching! And if you want just a simple little door to maybe go on a tree for your Wee Folk, please check out the store NothinButWood. His fairy/gnome doors are divine! This one is my favorite!

What are your garden plans this Spring? Have you ever made or seen a fairy garden?

Busy Little Bee...

Man oh man have I been a busy little bee.... creating beauty on paper, beauty on the computer, and hopefully beauty to hold and play with. Between that has been a relapse of AJ's ear infections, getting in the habit of working on, Girl Scout info, and PTO craziness...

But here is the good part.... it is ALL stuff that I love doing! Painting, mothering, caring for my girls and their friends, taking part in their education, and turning my body back into the powerhouse that it was in college.

And here is yet another thing that I have going on:

That is right! Next week from Monday to Saturday I will feature 6 different Etsy shops
(well one is mine so does it count??)
And 6 of you dear readers will win some awesome gifts!
I have some beauty items, beautiful toys, something for you baby wearing mamas,
and much much more!

So stay tuned, tell all your friends, and prepare to Get Lucky!

The List 3.7.10

Hello dear readers! I hope that everyone is doing well, especially us Clevelanders who have enjoyed a couple of days with real actual sunshine. I am trying not to get too excited because I know that Mother Nature is tricky and a huge snow storm can hit tomorrow just as easily as the sun is shining.
I have been uber busy, painting, creating, dancing, and now working out. I decided that after my daughter called my belly "fluffy" that it was time to step it up and get some chub off of my teeny frame. Lucky for me that since I am so short, as easily as I can pack it on, I know I can get it off. =) So my first link is the gym I joined... enjoy and be inspired!

I always found membership gyms really intimidating, like I needed to work out and get in shape first! Thanks to Planet Fitness, whose motto is "Judgement Free Zone", I am comfortable enough to go use a cardio machine or do their 30 Minute Workout- a circuit training thing that kicked my butt today! Check it out, I mean for $10 a month (no contracts) it might be the perfect place for you!
"As the most innovative health club brand in the United States, Planet Fitness is known for a lot of things – our absurdly low prices, our lunk alarm, and most of all perhaps, for our Judgement Free Zone® philosophy, which means members can relax, get in shape, and have fun without being subjected to the hard-core, look-at-me attitude that exists in too many gyms"
I am feeling really whimsical lately and the Etsy shop Quotes & Notes is the prefect place for whimsy. I love her pretty cotton hearts that say You & Me on them. So pretty!

I am a huge fan of tutorials that are easy to follow. This Everything Bag tutorial from Bluebirdbaby is really well written, is presented in a very neat way, and shows you how to make a bag that I am sure people will assume was store bought.

Now that I am working out regularly I need a way to plan my week so I have something to stick to. I love these notepads from LobotoMe. The FitMe pad handles all the details, you just stick to it!
** Her blog is full of great tips and such too, definitely worth a look! **

I am continuing with the Felt Love in the house and just found this SUPER SIMPLE activity to do with the little ones from Pink and Green Mama... all you need is felt and imagination!

Is it sad that I am already starting to get ideas for the girl's birthday parties? I love love love this Pink Owl themed party inspiration board from The Birthday Girl. Maybe I will just let Gabby have a sleepover and have the theme everywhere, just because... =)

Well, that is it for now... I have a lot going on, so I am keeping this a little shorter than usual. Have a great day and blessed be!
