*GIVEAWAY* in honor of my new friend!

I quickly discovered that a week without a sewing machine is not a fun thing... boring..... I read reviews of different of machines, in good sewing books, blogs, anything to point me in the right direction when getting a new sewing machine. Being a novice of course I looked at what the big box stores had, but nothing really impressed me. So I went to the locally owned sewing shop around the corner from my house....and fell in love!

The saleslady was uber nice and showed me a couple different models, but the one that caught my eye was the Janome Magnolia 7330. What a beautiful machine indeed!! It is high quality without being flashy, has lots of features without being overpowering, and most important- it has flowers on it! =) I call her Daisy!
So in honor of my new sewing machine I will be giving away something by yours truly! The winner will have his or her choice of one out of three different items- all custom created, everything from size to color!

*Tote bag:Fully lined, pockets inside and out, heavy cotton for durability, ring for keys to be hooked to. (Project Design by Lotta Jansdotter)

*Yoga Mat Tote: Wide strap for comfortable carrying, pocket for keys and cell phone, ribbon closure. (Project Design by Lotta Jansdotter)
*Decorative bed or Couch Pillow: Custom applique with pocket perfect for a book and reading glasses! (This is my own design, sorry no pics of the ones I have made yet!!) Just know it is very cool if you are an avid reader with books all over the place. Stuffed with Eco-fil it is uber soft and cozy.

  1. I'd love to win a tote bag. At 3 months pregnant I have so much stuff that I have to carry around.

My favorite project book...it's a giant binder of patterns that I've accumulated. I have a ton of knitting books as well, but the single nifty patterns I find are by far the coolest.

  2. I'd love to win a tote bag because I could use a new library bag.

I don't have a favourite project book. I get most of the patterns I use off of the internet.

  4. I just moved to Quebec and I'm enjoying( and suffering ) the learning of French. It's hard to be so pathetic at something when you're so old, and learning languages is something only the young do really well. That tote would be perfect for all the stuff I carry to French class...

My current favourite project book is a book called 'creating with polymer clay', an oldie by steven Ford of Ford and Forlano. (Their jewelry is amazing!) They aren't so much projects as 'jumping off points'.. That's what I really look for in books.

I'm Claire by the way - I have a shop called stillpointworks at etsy and my email is claire.maunsell@gmail.com

  6. I absolutely love your blog background and template!

I would probably like the pillow you mentioned though it would be nice to see a pic of one (I love books!) or else the lovely tote.

I use my book "knit scarves" by Candi Jensen whenever I forget how to cast on or off, I still have a hard time remembering. I also enjoy books about making "monsters", that is how I got started after all and discovered Etsy.

I would love to win the pillow. I love that it has a pocket, which would be a great place to stash a fave bookmark while I am reading (I always lose my bookmarks!).

I dont have a favorite project book yet, just many favorite patterns all cut and stashed in ziploc baggies. I would love to get some of the Japanese sewing books.
